David Wimmer
With 25 years experience working in the building industry around the globe, David brings together his vast building experience and his design qualifications and expertise, to offer a unique combination of both skills. A qualified licensed German master builder, David is also a MBIE Licensed Building Practitioner in New Zealand with Design 2, Site 2 and Carpentry.
Environmental considerations are uppermost in every decision at Wimmer Design. David is known for his use of sustainable energy sources, his approach to energy conservation, use of safe building materials, easy temperature and ventilation control for the client, and the siting of a building with consideration to its impact on the environment and visa versa. His sustainable concepts are in evidence in many of his residential designs located in rural, urban and coastal NZ.
No two clients are the same! David focuses on understanding how each client will use the space, and designs accordingly, ensuring the right mix of function, aesthetics, placement and quality construction. The success of his designs is entirely down to his interpretation of the client’s needs and the application of those ideas in a sustainable, energy efficient build.
Additionally, David can coordinate the site management and is vastly experienced in negotiating Council regulations and compliance, so can manage your project through to completion.
We’d love to discuss your project with you.
